It is a natural area of exceptional environmental value as it is not difficult to observe the Iberian lynx, deer, the imperial eagle and even the black vulture under the protection of an area where the dense and diverse Mediterranean scrub with repopulated pine and eucalyptus forests converge with the vegetation of cited shore. Following the river bank, you can reach the foot of the Encinarejo reservoir dam, a small reservoir, more like a lake. The reservoir is one of the oldest in the Guadalquivir basin, being inaugurated during the Second Republic with hydroelectric production as its main purpose. In this place there is a breeding project for the «European Bison» that perhaps we will be able to see from our horses.
