Tasting Sierra de Andújar
Route Description
This program of 4 nights, 3 days on horseback, allows us to discover the best of the Sierra de Andújar route, concentrated in the days that we will travel the bridle paths, which the bandits and transumantes traveled to move from the Guadalquivir valley to the peaks of the Sierra Morena.
Day 1 .- Arrival of clients in Andújar at the Oleum hotel (located in a 16th century palace)

Day 2 .- Andújar – Marmolejo
Day 3 .- Marmolejo – Sanctuary ¨La virgen de la Cabeza¨
We will leave Marmolejo along the path used by pilgrims and pilgrims throughout the year, with special intensity in the days preceding the last Sunday of April, the date on which it is celebrated the multitudinous pilgrimage on the Cerro del Cabezo. The beautiful panoramic views of the foothills of the mountains and the valley of the Yeguas River, the natural boundary between the provinces of Jaén and Córdoba.

Day 4.- Sanctuary ¨La virgen de la Cabeza¨ – Andújar
It is a natural area of exceptional environmental value as it is not difficult to observe the Iberian lynx, deer, the imperial eagle and even the black vulture under the protection of an area where the dense and diverse Mediterranean scrub with repopulated pine and eucalyptus forests converge with the vegetation of cited shore. Following the river bank, you can reach the foot of the Encinarejo reservoir dam, a small reservoir, more like a lake. The reservoir is one of the oldest in the Guadalquivir basin, being inaugurated during the Second Republic with hydroelectric production as its main purpose. In this place there is a breeding project for «European Bison» that perhaps we will be able to see from our horses.

Day 5 .- End of the program and transfer of clients.
